Privacy Policy

Last updated: Jul 1, 2026

This is a plain-language summary of how Veluvy handles your data. It’s a starting template. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before relying on it in production.

What we collect

  • Account: email and authentication data.
  • Profile: the details you provide (name, age, gender, interests, lifestyle, photos, and self-declared fields like religion).
  • Optional visual training: your synthetic-face comparisons and, if you opt in, face photos used only for compatibility.
  • Usage: likes, matches, messages metadata, and basic activity needed to run the service.

How we use it

To create your profile, power search and matching, compute compatibility, keep the platform safe, and (only if you opt in) personalize ads using self-declared interests. We never use your private messages or sensitive fields like religion for ad targeting.

Consent

Sensitive and AI features are strictly opt-in. Religion, gender and similar fields are self-declared only and are never inferred by AI. You can change your choices anytime in Settings.

Sharing

We don’t sell your personal data. We share only with the service providers needed to run Veluvy (hosting, database, payments, email), under appropriate safeguards.

Retention & your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time (see Data Deletion). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA.
